If I had one disappointment it didn't really have as much to do with the first books central male figures Colonel Janus for instance and really focused heavily on Captain Winter.

This sequel is another great book from Django Wexler, fast becoming one of my favourite authors! Absolutely loved this book!
Absolutly love this series. Great story thats grips you from begining to end
Good book, however a change of pace from the thousand names. More political and world building, less focus on action and magic. Recommended series to follow and see where it goes.
It has slezbian rebels and magic mutant style and battles and politics and you should read this book because it is fantastic.
Another book I thoroughly enjoyed. The characters were engaging and the action continuous, never a dull moment
The shadow Campaign I liked this book, a good follow up to book 1 "The Thousand names". The story is entertaining and well written.
His writing style is very good however I felt that the characters were disappointingly more predictable/mono-dimensional than the first book (which I thought was excellent). I also felt that some interesting characters were introduced and then "disappeared" for the entire book, only to make what felt like a "buy the next book" reappearance at the end.
