I am sitting here feeling gobsmacked. I don’t know what to think! It is an amazing story, one of love and friendship, of a life well lived. The testimony of the characters is beautiful. I gained some very valuable insights that answer some questions I have been feeling in my heart. There are several very thought-filled interaction and discussions between some of the characters.
And then it ends..............

This book has a very special message, alone with many side messages. As a Christian, I understand and appreciate all the personal testimonies throughout the story. The “target” audience might no be prepared to read through that much “religious stuff” and stop reading prematurely. That would be more than just a shame. Regardless of my reaction to the ending, this story has an absolutely life saving message and one very much needed in today’s messed up culture. I pray that this book touched the hearts of those who read it and it message is passed on.
This had to have been very difficult to write, and I appreciate the strength and obedience in listening and following God’s leading in creating this story.

Mommy Choice edition by Scott McElhaney Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

I felt and thought a lot of different things while reading this book. I was very confused through most of it because it kept jumping around and not making a whole lot of sense. But that made me want to read it more to get to the bottom of what was going on. I think the story was well written. I'm not a fan of so much Bible talk but I could easily just skip those parts. Once the end came, I was a bit dissapointed and irritated that there wasn't a HEA and that things ended the way they did but otherwise I was impressed that the author was able to keep me reading that far.
Author has created a novel with a perspective I've never read before. My first experience reading Christian literature will have me coming back for more.
It's a story that needed to be told. Thank you for writing it Mr. McElhaney. It touched me deeply and I pray it touches many more.
This is an awesome story. A joy to read the wonderful life Jonathon and his parents had. But, it is science fiction and there is a twist. A sad, painful twist. One thing that is stressed is God,s love for all his children, those born and those created but never born
What a book. I was forewarned you wouldn't figure the ending until you got there. That was true. A well written book with such a passionate message. This book will cause you to ponder. The only cons I have is the Bible version used. I love the old KJV.. It too, will cause you to ponder. And I too do not care for the alcohol parts. This was a great story.
I can't say much as it would give away the entire book but I enjoyed reading this. I gave it four stars because I felt that some things were a bit one-sided (all I can say is things like consuming alcohol, any further explanation would be a spoiler and I hate those!) The back and forth between time was a little confusing at first but I caught on to what the author was trying to do after a while. The ending is totally twisted but it was soooo cool! I already knew what was happening when character Jonathan found that little blue piece of paper, wow. My favorite line from this book came at the very end, "Let's just say things didn't turn out the way I planned...Let me take you home." That's a nice way of putting it. Anyways, for me it was worth the read. Oh and it's religious fiction with strong religious overtones, just in case you didn't read the book description )
No spoilers in this review. Four stars from me are high praise, five are for truly outstanding books.

Firstly, as other reviewers have said, this is a Christian story, a very Christian story, with many Biblical quotes and talking about Jesus. It is very well written with no grammatical errors, and good syntax, which makes for very easy reading.

I have just finished reading this for the second time since I bought it and noticed several things I obviously missed the first time, and which really had an impact on me. I had no trouble with the different time frames as they were clearly headed at each changeover, and I found it a very effective device. Thankfully, I have never been in the position of the main character in the story and I was devastated the first time I read it as it built up to the climax. On the second reading I knew what to expect and although it was still powerful, I was able to read it with more discernment and understanding. I have no hesitation in recommending this book, but please, if you don't like books with a very strong Christian theme running through it, don't read it and then give a bad review based on that.
